Jessica Morrison

Jessica’s artistic journey began in childhood, sketching horses with a detailed eye for their beauty and power, laying the foundation for a lifelong creative passion. In high school, she self-discovered encaustics, only to learn the Egyptians thought of the idea 2,000 years ago. The enthusiasm of texture and it's tangible depth have been part her work ever since.

At Indiana Wesleyan University, she earned a degree in Illustration, mastering visual storytelling to weave narrative into her work. In October 2016, Jessica faced Topical Steroid Withdrawal Syndrome (TSWS), a debilitating condition caused by topical corticosteroids: halting her painting for six years. This ordeal, which began as a treatment for eczema, inspired a profound abstract expressionist series started in 2022, dedicated to raising awareness for TSWS and supporting ITSAN.org’s advocacy efforts. Her work unpacks complex emotions—grief, resilience, and joy in suffering—reflecting her faith in Jesus as a source of hope.

Beyond abstracts, Jessica creates impressionist landscapes of local terrains pre-development, preserving their fleeting beauty for future generations. She is also known for detailed renderings of horses, landscapes, and portraits often drawn from life using a variety of mediums: graphite, ink, oil, acrylic, and watercolor. Her global heart for missions, love for the persecuted Church, and volunteer travels fuel her appreciation for the diversity experienced at the Cross. Jessica also offers art services, including consulting, residential and commercial commissions and collaborations, live plein air event painting, staging art rentals, “pop-up” event art galleries, local art gift boxes, and an artist referral network.

When not creating, she serves as a real estate agent, wife, mother, and member of College Park Church. Her work has been acquired and sent to Boston, Atlanta, and Denver. One collector is a globally influential entity in the wellness industry with a multibillion-dollar presence, encouraging the synergy between Jessica’s recovering from medical trauma, and the collector’s commitment to global well-being. In September 2025, she supplied sixteen pieces in collaboration with Stephanie Wiott Designs and Sigma Builders for the 2025 Lee Supply Home-A-Rama at Chatham Hills. Her paintings, "Integer" and "Montana Gold" were made in collaboration with Decker Design Group for the 2026 Decorators' Show House Indianapolis, and received the first place People's Choice Award for best room design. She has also been invited to bid on commercial projects for Buckingham Properties, and received praises from nationally recognized design firms based out of Dallas, Chicago, and San Francisco.

Finally, Jessica volunteered to create the first art exhibit in collaboration with ITSAN.org held in July of 2026, serving as both art director and curator. The exhibit brought together twenty different patient and caregiver voices who experienced Topical Steroid Withdrawal Syndrome, and had an international presence with multiple entries from the United Kingdom, across the United States, India, and Austria. This was held at the first TSW Summit, in Atlanta, Georgia, and brought together patients and award-winning dermatology providers for a collaborative, modern discussion navigating both the reality and recovery of a brand new medical condition.
